Presentation Skills

Target Group:
This course is targeted for students who wish to improve their presentation skills in English when making professional presentations to clients, suppliers and colleagues at meetings, courses or conferences. The course is in English. Therefore, it is exceptionally suited for all those who need a fairly high level of English to become successful presenters. Only students who have already reached an upper intermediate level of English may participate.

Purpose:

• To enable the students to structure and implement effective presentations
• To teach the students how to handle problems related to one-way communication
• To teach the students how to use their voice, their body language and audio-visual aids
• To raise the students´ level in oral English to a professional level during the course.

Content:
Special drills in oral proficiency in English focusing on all the key words and phrases you will need when presenting in English.
Special language assignments in presenting a professional matter of your own choise in proficient English.
A short introduction to the basic elements in presentation skills: structuring and planning, voice and delivery, enthusiasm for your subject, exploting visuals, know your audience, make your point and how to finish strongly, handling questions from the floor.
Practical training in presentation skills and techniques on closed circuit TV - many practical exercises with subsequent criticism.

The course will be held at Virksomhedsskolen in Copenhagen, Århus or an equivalent location.

Price:
Course fee inclusive of teaching materials: DKK 3,950 exclusive of VAT and any board and accomodation costs.
