Presentation Skills

Target Group:
This course is targeted at students who wish to improve their presentation skills in English when making professional presentations to clients, suppliers and colleagues at meetings, during courses or at conferences. The course is in English and it is therefore exceptionally suited to those who need a fairly high level of English to become successful presenters. Only students who have already reached an upper intermediate level of English may participate. 

Purpose:

- To enable the students to structure and implement effective presentations

- To teach the students how to handle problems related to one-way communication

- To teach the students how to use their voice, body language and audio-visual aids

- To raise the students´ level in oral English to a professional level.

Content:
Special drills in English oral proficiency focusing on all the key words and phrases you will need when presenting in English.
Special language assignments in presenting a professional matter of your own choice in proficient English.
A short introduction to the basic elements of presentation skills: structuring and planning, voice and delivery, enthusiasm for your subject, exploiting visuals, knowing your audience, making your point and how to finish strongly, handling questions from the floor.
Practical training in presentation skills and techniques on closed circuit TV - many practical exercises with subsequent constructive feedback.

Venue:
All courses will be held at Virksomhedsskolen, Vesterbrogade 37, 1620 Copenhagen V, and at Virksomhedsskolen, Grønnegade 93, 8000 Aarhus C.

Price:
Course fee including teaching materials: DKK 3,950 excluding VAT and any cost for food and beverages.
